Today, 1 February 2026, marks 30 years since Fairer World moved to its current location at 84 Gillygate, York.
That’s 30 years of providing locals and visitors to York alike with a wide choice of Fair Trade and environmentally-friendly goods.
30 years of supporting producers in Africa, Asia and Latin America to improve their lives by helping to create and sustain a market for their goods at fair prices.
And 30 years of welcoming loyal customers whose support and custom, both in the shop and through placing orders for local delivery, have made these three decades of service possible. Thank you all!
