Our range of crafts in 2026 includes the following:

  • Rainbow ceramics from Thailand (pictures below).
  • Dalit candles in terracotta pots and soap from India.
  • Distinctive aprons, bags and scrunchies from Malawi via a charity called Mbedza which is dedicated to preventing and relieving poverty in that country.
  • Neem and sandalwood soap from India.
  • Multi-cultural dolls, painted wooden toys and letters, Noah’s Arks and jigsaws from Sri Lanka. Photos on our children’s page.
  • Wonderful painted papier mache baubles, bells and wooden stars, all from Kashmir. 
  • Embroidered knitted acrylic kids’ cardigans from Peru – sizes 0 to 8.
  • Inexpensive small crafts from India and Nepal. 
  • Earrings and nodding animals made by Mayan people in Mexico.
  • Silver jewellery from Bali, Indonesia, made by small scale traditional silver workers in remote parts of that country (see jewellery page).
  • Bethlehem Baubles (see below) – glass baubles which are hand blown and hand painted in Bethlehem, using local recycled materials whenever possible. Priced to reflect the true cost of production, these wonderful baubles are a treat to save up for or would make a special gift.
  • A full stock of Palestinian ceramics, hand made and hand painted in Hebron (see below and on our Palestinian products page for more illustrations).
  • The full range of Palestinian soaps and bath salts is in stock, including a four soap presentation pack.
  • Small and special range of unique items of Palestinian embroidery

Rainbow ceramics

Following a recent delivery we currently hold a wide selection of rainbow pottery, supplied to us by Namaste-UK. These cheerful ceramics, handmade in Thailand, are ideal for brightening your breakfasts! The vibrant colours are hand painted, giving each piece an individual character. Most pieces are dishwasher safe and microwave safe, and marked as such on each item. Inexpensively priced.

Nodding animals

These hilarious little nodding animals are made by Mayan people in Mexico. The illustrations show a selection of the kinds of quirky creatures available – do pop into the shop to see the full range for yourself and make your choice. Please note, these are not suitable for children under 36 months due to small and sharp parts. £3.50 each.

Palestinian ceramics

Also on our crafts shelves we hold a substantial collection of ceramics from Palestine. From teapots and mugs to serving dishes and candlesticks, feel free to come and browse for a special item of your choice. Handmade and hand painted in Palestine.

The Bethlehem Bauble

Introducing… the Bethlehem Bauble. These stunning handmade decorations will make your home sparkle at any time of year. Each unique glass bauble comes courtesy of Bethlehem Baubles, a social enterprise that has teamed up with Bethlehem Fair Trade Artisans (BFTA) who work closely with Muslim and Christian communities to provide much-needed income and support for families in Palestine.
