New food products in stock at Fairer World
Traidcraft Breakfast Blend teabags – 80 teabags, selling at £4.75
This is essentially a new product with an established name. It is Fairtrade certified black tea from rich soils and high altitude of the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, and has been supplied by small-holder co-operatives in Kenya. Transform Trade, who have sourced the tea in conjunction with True Origin, says that if sales go well it will look at introducing loose tea and decaffeinated teabags also. (Fairtrade loose tea from Kenya is already available at Fairer World – from We Are Fair Trade – see below).
Traidcraft Breakfast Blend teabags are also available in a catering size – 800 teabags, selling at £40.
True Origin (formerly Just Trading Scotland) are exclusively distributing Traidcraft Breakfast Blend teabags and will donate 5% from the selling price to Transform Trade, who will use the money for their general work. True Origin are already a wholesale supplier to Fairer World so we have just added the tea to our regular orders.
We Are Fair Trade Fruit & Nut muesli – 500g, selling at £4.60
The fruit & nut muesli is Fairtrade certified (courtesy of the brown manuka raisins from Uzbekistan and almonds from Jenin in the West Bank, which it contains).

We Are Fair Trade loose tea – 125g, selling at £3.79
Fairtrade certified loose leaf black tea from Kenya grown at altitude on the Great Rift Valley.
We Are Fair Trade teabags – 80 teabags, selling at £4.99
Fairtrade certified teabags using tea from Kenya grown at the high altitude of the Great Rift Valley.
The tea in the We Are Fair Trade loose tea and teabags is very likely to be the same tea as in the Traidcraft Breakfast Blend teabags, but we haven’t seen anyone saying so.
